Dagupan's income soars attains P147.7 M surplus

Dagupan City’s income reached P247.73 million, or P172.98 million more than the city government’s income when Mayor Alipio Fernandez Jr. started in office, according to the data in his state of the city address he delivered Thursday afternoon at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan session Hall. He said that through strategic disbursement sytem, the city government has maintained an annual income expenditure that is less than its yearly income, generating savings necessary for the liquidity and stability of the city government. From 1992 to the end of year 2000, the city government has accumulated a total surplus of P147.98 million. Fernandez said this enables the city government to release P10.61 million to monetize leave credits of city government employees.
