3 towns heed call to plant mangroves

LINGAYEN—Three coastal municipalities responded to the challenge of the Lingayen Gulf Coastal Area Management Commission to support a program for the regeneration of mangroves in their respective localities. Elmer Tamayo, chief of the Resource Rehabilitation and Management Unit of LGCAMC, said Bani, Alaminos and San Fabian agreed to support the magrove regeneration program. Under the program, the three municipalities will plant mangroves in designated areas with some of the seedlings to be given by LGCAMC.
