STA. BARBARA—Lending a big boost to the anti-drug campaign, 27 drug pushers and users in the watch list of the local police surrendered Friday and vowed never again to touch illegal drugs. They took their oath of allegiance before PNP Provincial Director Joel Goltiao in a ceremony at the Daniel Maramba High School auditorium, attended by mostly students, teachers and members of Non-Government Organizations. They signed their oath in the presence of Mayor Carlito Zaplan, Vice Mayor Ruben Jose, Councilor Cesar Dalope, Chief Inspector Policarpio Cayabyab, Jr. and Dr. Teodora Nabor, OIC of DMNHS. This was the second mass surrender of known pushers and users in Pangasinan, the first of which was in Tayug last week where 68 people hooked on drugs and into drug trafficking earlier gave up.
